"If not me, then who? If not now, then when?"
One important belief Jimi hold's dear is to put others first and help in every way he can. By doing this he has found that the more he is able to give to others the more fulfilling life becomes.
Jimi chose to move to Canada in 1999 to pursue his dream of living the fullest life possible in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Jimi has been truly blessed with the people he has met over the past 16 years since making this his home.
Jimi's philanthropic endeavors began in 2009 after his 5 year old son Ryder Evans-Brockett died because of brain cancer.
The main way he has been able to give back over the past 7 years has been through The Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation to support cancer research.
Jimi feels blessed and proud to have built his team, Riders for Ryders from raising just $60,000 to now over 2.4 million dollars.
Now he feel it’s time to get back to the local community and help those families with children that have been affected and show them the community cares just like he was shown when Ryder was diagnosed.
